What Inspires My Outfits

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Comment down below what you’ve been up to. This was our last weekend of lockdown here in the UK…hopefully (saying this with a lot of caution after going through three lockdowns). On Monday, outdoor dining and non-essential shops are opening up here, so feeling very excited for the week ahead even though we’ve still got quite chilly weather. What plans have you made for easing of lockdown? I’m mostly just excited to eat in a restaurant again and maybe do a bit of window shopping. Online shopping just isn’t the same, is it.
Anyway, on to this week’s blog post, I wanted talk about some of the places I find inspiration for my outfits. For this look, for example, I was thinking sunsets, Aperol spritz, fresh fruits stand, and even the London Overground (see below). I find inspiration all around me, really, but there are a few stand-out places that always seem to ignite new ideas. Below are my top places to find outfit inspiration when you’re feeling hopeless and uninspired.

For this week’s post, I wanted to talk about this cute little blazer set that I made (with a bit of vital help from my amazing mum). From an oversized and underwhelming dad blazer to a trendy matching suit set.

Why You Should Be Using a Reusable Face Mask

Hope you’re all having a nice weekend. I’ve been quite busy exploring Kew Gardens, got a delish brunch delivered, and took some photos for the blog. We’ve also cooked some delish dinners this weekend. (I’m always looking for new recipes especially since we still can’t eat in restaurants, so share below if you have any good ones.) Tonight we're trying to make our own version of Sidechick, which is a killer chicken place here in Hackney.

For this blog post, I just wanted to talk about why you should be using reusable face masks during this time for their functionality, sustainability, and of course, the endless fashion options available. Below are the reasons you should hop on the reusable face mask trend if you haven’t already.

Colour Forecast 2021

I hope you’ve all had a productive week and a fun weekend. As usual, comment down below what you’ve been up to. This weekend I walked in the park with friends of course, visited Borough Market, and had a fun girls’ game night. Tonight we’re thinking of making a mini Sunday roast, which I’m thoroughly looking forward to.

This week, following on from last week’s spring trends to look out for, I wanted to talk about the colours you need to be rocking this spring/summer, as I usually do this time of year. (Check out last year’s colour forecast, here.) Some of them you probably already own, so it’s just a matter to digging through your wardrobe to find them. According to Zeitgeist, Pantone, and other fashion sources, these were the main colours that flooded SS21 catwalks. This bright collection of colours are just what we need after 2020.

Spring Trends for a Fresh 2021 Wardrobe

Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday. What have you been up to this weekend? I’ve spent the weekend going on walks with friends, eating some delish takeaway food, and making the most of sunny London. We picked up brunch at a food stall, called What Did Katie Do Next, nearby yesterday and walked along the canal. I’ve also gotten to catch up with some old friends and some new, while dog spotting in various London parks. Im feeling hopeful and looking forward to the easing of restrictions in the coming months, especially going out for dinner and being able to visit a few family members. What are you looking forward to most post-pandemic?

Although it’s still only February, signs of spring are popping up all over London and that means new fashion trends too. I always like to share some spring/summer trends this time of year and even though we’re mostly stuck indoors, that doesn’t mean we can’t look amazing while doing it, right? Below are the top trends heading our way from digital catwalks everywhere.
