Spring Trends for a Fresh 2021 Wardrobe
Happy Sunday friends,
Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday. What have you been up to this weekend? I’ve spent the weekend going on walks with friends, eating some delish takeaway food, and making the most of sunny London. We picked up brunch at a food stall, called What Did Katie Do Next, nearby yesterday and walked along the canal. I’ve also gotten to catch up with some old friends and some new, while dog spotting in various London parks. I’m feeling hopeful and looking forward to the easing of restrictions in the coming months, especially going out for dinner and being able to visit a few family members. What are you looking forward to most post-pandemic?
Although it’s still only February, signs of spring are popping up all over London and that means new fashion trends too. I always like to share some spring/summer trends this time of year and even though we’re mostly stuck indoors, that doesn’t mean we can’t look amazing while doing it, right? Below are the top trends heading our way from digital catwalks everywhere.
Show Some Skin
After being wrapped up in our loungewear sets and cosy sweaters for the past few months, we’re more than ready to show a little skin. For spring 2021, this look like cropped long sleeve tops, sheer blouses like the one I’m wearing here, or even pieces with cheeky cut-outs. This sheer top from Zara is perfect for adding some spring to your wardrobe.
Feather Fantasy
An unexpected trend for spring 2021, is feathers. Feathered hems on trouser legs or a feathery neckline will hit this key spring trend. This is probably the most out-there trend, so don’t feel bad if you’re a bit hesitant to try this one.
layering with lace
Wearing your underwear on top of your clothes isn’t just for Superman anymore. I’m not talking about wearing your knickers over your jeans or anything, but layering your lace bralette over a white shirt is certain to hit this season’s key layering trend.
wide leg trousers
Wide leg trousers have been growing in popularity for some time now, so if you don’t own a pair, now is definitely the time. As you know, I’m a huge fan of the style and really can’t stop wearing my wide leg jeans especially. These wide leg trousers from Motel Rocks are a great dressier alternative to jeans.
