My Little Travels...
Hope you’ve all had a fun and relaxing weekend. I’ve been entertaining my gorgeous cousin, Neave. Apart from eating our way through London, we also went to the Van Gogh Alive exhibit which I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an exciting art experience. We also did some vintage shopping in Shoreditch which I haven’t done in a while.
Anyway, before Neave came, I had just gotten back from my very exciting trip to Croatia, so let me tell you all about it and all the things I would recommend to anyone visiting. It really was such a stunning country with amazing people, and I will definitely be going back.
I’m back! I took a much-needed blog break last weekend while I was traveling back from Cornwall and entertaining Fergus & Felicia last Sunday. Hope you’re all well and having a lovely weekend this weekend. I’ve spent it finishing off unpacking and organizing my room from my recent move, cooking some delish food with the bf, and hanging out with friends. Comment down below what you got up this weekend.
For this week’s blog post, I wanted to give you a bit of a rundown of what we did while we were in Cornwall the other week. We had such an amazing time and I got to see some lovely places with much missed family members. Below are the places we visited while in Cornwall and where I recommend you do too if you ever visit.
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Comment down below what you’ve been up to. I had a chilled evening on Friday making cookies and watching films with my roommates and then yesterday went out to celebrate one of my friend’s birthday. For this week’s blog post, as promised, I’m recapping what Savannah and I got up to while in Amsterdam and what I recommend you do too if you go yourself. Overall, it was such an amazing city and one of my favorite places I’ve ever been. I’m definitely going to be going back, hopefully in the spring or summer next time. Below are my must-see spots, meals to-die-for, and things we did while in the gorgeous city of Amsterdam.
As you probably know, I spent last weekend in Portugal! This time last week I was stretched out on a beach eating a Portuguese tart and listening to the sound of the sea. Unfortunately, I’m back to reality this weekend, sitting by London Fields Lido under a dark cloud and eating an apple. It’s still the weekend though right!
Here is my mini guide to Portugal and how we got the most of a weekend there. I went with my friend and roommate, Megan. With only three days, we def had to do some serious planning and running from place to place, but I feel like I really experienced a lot that Portugal had to offer. Below are the things I recommend you definitely shouldn’t miss if you ever get a chance to visit this beautiful place.
Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday. What exciting adventures have you gotten to this weekend? We went on an adventure to Brighton for Pride!
This week’s blog post will be a bit of a diary entry for me so I can remember this in the future, and an explanation of Pride for those of you that have never been.
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. I know it’s been a couple weeks since my last blog post, but I’ve had some bad news the other weekend and then a busy one the next. My beloved dog and best friend, Derby, passed away two weeks ago now, and it has been incredibly hard for me to think about anything else. This past weekend I spent in Paris with my mom and Mrs. Cindy. It was nice to have my mum here with Derby passing away and Paris helped to get my mind off things. Anyway, I’m sorry for missing a couple blog posts and hope you guys can forgive me, but let’s get on with this week’s post!
This week, I wanted to talk about how to nail a city summer break outfit. This was the outfit I chose to wear while walking miles in the Parisian summer heat, and would make a great outfit for any other summer trips you have coming up too. Below is the break down of the perfect outfit for your next summer trip.
How are you guys doing this week? Comment down below with how you’ve been and what you’ve been up to this weekend. You know I’m always nosey, and what to hear about what you’re up to.
This year one of my fashion goals has been to challenge myself to make neutrals exciting again. They’ve been all over the runways and street-style stars recently, and I want to try it out myself. While I’ve become inclined to grab a punchy pink sweater rather than a subtle camel one, I want to make myself a bit more comfortable with the classic tones again. I think it’s important to have that balance of color and neutral in my wardrobe and know how to navigate both seamlessly.
Are you all getting in the holiday spirit? I’ve finally started wrapping some gifts, and I have to say, buying people gifts is one of the most joyous things about this time of year. I think it makes me so happy because gift giving is really how I show someone how much I care about them.
For this particular blog post, I want to rewind to a couple weekends ago when Fergus and I were in Milan! Although we were only there for a very brief visit, I feel like we squeezed in a lot, and I have to share it with all my favorite people (aka you!). Here are my recommendations for where you need to go and what you need to see in Milan if you ever visit!
Fergus and I have just returned from Milan! We had an amazing little trip, exploring the city and visiting my Italian pals. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quick city break! If you have any questions about our Milan visit, comment them down below, because I’ll probably be answering them in my next post with my mini guide to Milan.
For this week’s post, I wanted to try to challenge myself and my typical style in Milan! Often, I find myself getting into a fashion rut and just wearing a similar combination of clothing over and over, so every now and then, I think I’ve got to break out of the routine.
A piece of clothing a usually shy away from is the midi skirt. I’ve long admired the midi skirts and dresses on the likes of my taller friends, celebs, and models, but I’ve always felt that I was too short too pull one off. Since I’m always preaching that anyone can wear anything though, I thought I should test myself to do the same!
Sorry this post is a tab late! How are you all doing this week? Have you been up to anything exciting this past weekend? Comment down below if you’ve been on any exciting adventures, seen any good Netflix series, or gotten some much needed things completed.
For this week’s post, I wanted to talk about one of this season’s biggest trends, corduroy! While it comes around every fall/winter season, it seems to be making an even bigger comeback this year and in some new and interesting ways! I’ve seen corduroy in more colors, styles, and shapes than I’ve ever imagined and I’m kind of loving it! I don’t have a love of corduroy pieces yet myself, but the few bits I do have, like this dress from Zara, are keeping me warm and stylish! I’ve come up with a few tips for rocking corduroy your own way!
Today, I’m back home in Derbyshire. I’m sad to be away from the excitement of London, but I have to admit it is quite nice to relax for a bit from all the bustle and rushing around of the city and I’m excited to be hanging out with some of my family!
For this week’s post, I wanted to look a back at some of the most Instagrammable places I’ve visited while in London in case you ever want to visit them yourself! Below are the most picturesque places I’ve seen while I’ve been here and places I definitely think you need to check them out for yourself! Comment down below if you have any questions or if you have any recommendations of gorgeous places I need to visit in London next!
How has your week been? I've had another London packed week I must admit and I'm feeling to lucky to be here experiencing this. While walking around running errands for my internship, I stumbled upon some really amazing vintage and second-hand shops in the Shoreditch area! It reminded me of this gorgeous, Gianni Bini dress I found for a steal, second-hand at my old work, Style Encore Conway, which is a gently-used women's clothing shop! ( I miss that place and my work pals so so much and finding amazing steals!) In this post I wanted to talk about the benefits of shopping second-hand, vintage, or consignment clothes for both your own wallet and the planet!
I hope you've all had a great week! I'm so sorry I missed last week's post, but unfortunately my apartment was broken into and my laptop was taken! I was of course devastated, but I've decided that dwelling on it won't solve any problems, plus I want to continue enjoying my time here in London, which is exactly what this post is dedicated to! I've been getting up to some very exciting things and I want to share them with you and document them for myself as well!
Hope you are all doing well on this warm summer Sunday. As promised last week, this week I wanted to talk about some of the best places we visited in San Diego while we were there! I hope you enjoy learning what we got up to and maybe if you ever visit you can visit some of my recommendations below!
So sorry for the late upload! After watching England scoring six goals in yesterday's World Cup match and my laptop charger finally giving up, I completely forgot yesterday was even Sunday at all! I must be going crazy. Anyway, we're back on track now and we can get on with this week's blog post. After our recent trip to Destin, Florida, I wanted to talk about why I really love the beach and what makes it such a happy place for me.
Here's a special shout out to my lovely dad! Thanks, Dad, for always supporting me and reading my blog posts even though they're probably not on your fav topics haha! This week, I've been lucky enough to be at the beach in Destin, Florida with some of my favorite ladies, but glad we got back here in time for celebrate Father's day! Anyway, for this week's post, I wanted to share with you some of the most popular trends I've been noticing this summer! These trends are filling shop windows, covering every fashion blogger's Instagram page, and showing up alongside the most famous celebs! So according to my calculations, these are the 5 things you need to be rocking this summer!
I'm back! Sorry I missed last week's post, but I was visiting my beloved bestie, Joud, in Philadelphia and I really wanted to focus on fully experiencing it! So, in lieu of that, I thought I would dedicate this blog post to some of the amazing food, fun, and photogenic locations my gorgeous tour guide, Joud, took me to. (She honestly curated the best trip ever.)
How are you all feeling on this sunny Sunday morning? I hope you're feeling confident and a little experimental, because I've been challenged by Dia & Co. to 'face my fashion fears', and I think you should too! They've challenged me to wear an outfit/clothing item I might not normally have the confidence to wear, so I've decided to show a little more skin, wear some gorgeous colored sunnies, and some oh-so-badass boots.
This outfit featured a couple out-of-my-comfort-zone elements. I thought I might feel a little self-conscious wearing this, but instead I felt quite the opposite! Wearing this gorgeous outfit has surprisingly made me feel more empowered. The boots made me feel badass, the v-neck dress made me feel pretty and feminine, and the sunnies were of so cool.
I've finally gotten around to filming my Ireland & England haulł Hooray! I had such an amazing trip visiting family and seeing all of the amazing sites that Ireland and England had to offer, so the amazing shopping was just the icing on top of the cake! I think I found some perfect pieces with the help of my mom, Mrs. Cindy, my Auntie Mandy, and my lovely cousin, Neave! Thanks for the help guys! <3 I'm very excited to share it with you, so I hope you enjoy it!
This summer, I've been channeling my inner Justin Timberlake circa 2001, with denim on denim (cringey!). Surprisingly though, I'm enjoying rocking it and slowly learning how to make it work.
The key to the denim on denim look is to either completely match your denims, like I did here, or contrasting them.
How is everyone today? I'm sending my well wishes your way. I hope you're having as lovely weather as I am here in the UK!
Today, I thought I should just catch you up on my recent trip to Ireland, and what I think. Below I've included all the reasons you need to get yourselves to Ireland, whether it's food, photogenic locations, or shopping.
How are you lovely people doing on this fine Sunday? As, per the usual, I’ve spent the weekend eating delish food with friends and enjoying the last of the London summer sun. I’m writing this while I sit in the sun outside a London coffee shop, surprisingly warm. As I slip off my cardigan, I could almost close my eyes and imagine that I’m back in St. Tropez, like I was a couple weeks ago, which brings me to today’s blog post.
I wanted to tell you a bit about St. Tropez and my little trip there. Though I only went for a long weekend work trip, I couldn’t not share this luxurious and beautiful location. From extravagant hotels with impressive swimming pools, to delicious other-worldly food, to colourful sunsets bouncing off the sea, my St. Tropez trip seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. Below are some of the highlights from that sparkling weekend.
