Why You Should Be Using a Reusable Face Mask
Happy Sunday lovelies,
Hope you’re all having a nice weekend. I’ve been quite busy exploring Kew Gardens, got a delish brunch delivered, and took some photos for the blog. We’ve also cooked some delish dinners this weekend. (I’m always looking for new recipes especially since we still can’t eat in restaurants, so share below if you have any good ones.) Tonight we're trying to make our own version of Sidechick, which is a killer chicken place here in Hackney.
For this blog post, I just wanted to talk about why you should be using reusable face masks during this time for their functionality, sustainability, and of course, the endless fashion options available. Below are the reasons you should hop on the reusable face mask trend if you haven’t already.
Pinch the Pennies
In the long run, reusable and washable face masks actually cost way less than buying single-use masks over and over. Why not save yourself some cash and choose a couple of reusable masks instead.
Protect the Planet
Unfortunately, while less travel may have helped diminish air pollution, face masks have been a huge pollutant to our planet this past year. Lack of proper disposal has lead to harsh effects on our planet, so next time you reach for another box of single-use masks, maybe grab a reusable one instead.
Passion for fashion
Of course one of the huge benefits of using reusable face masks are the endless styling possibilities. Think of your face mask as another element to your outfit. I’ve been using mine to add an extra pop of colour or pattern to my looks.
Thank you for reading this week’s post. I hope you’ll consider switching to reusable face masks if you haven’t already. Special thank you to Elsie Mae for gifting one of the floral masks and also thank you to my amazing mum for making a mask for just about every outfit I own. I’ve chosen some more gorgeous face masks below if you’re in the market for one. Also head to my Instagram to check out the reel video I made with some of my favourite masks and different outfits. Remember to check back next weekend for a new post and have a great week!
