Happy Sunday friends! How has your week been? I’ve been working on a new sewing project (soon to be shared on Instagram), running, baking brownies, and catching up with friends via FaceTime. I’ve been enjoying a bit of sunshine in between snow showers too. Winter weather isn’t all bad. What’s one thing that’s brightened your week?
This week, I wanted to dedicate my post to our mini beach trip and some of the relaxing things that have help me reset and relax in January. These simple, anxiety-relieving methods have helped me in this strange and stressful time, so I’m hoping they might help you too. Leave a comment down below with how you’ve been relieving stress during lockdown.
We survived! We finally made it through 2020 and into 2021. I hope you’re 2021 has been going well so far. I’ve had a pretty good start to the year as we got to go to Destin Florida for a few days. Feeling very lucky, refreshed, and ready for the new year ahead! (Check out my Instagram for all the beachy vibes.) I took a little blogging break over the past couple weeks to enjoy the festive period and being home with my family after not seeing them for a year. What did you get up to over the holidays? Leave a comment below with your favourite thing that you did or ate over the holiday period.
As always, I want to look back at some goals I made at the beginning of 2020 and see how I did with those goals.
Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday on the run up to Christmas. Comment down below all the festive things you’re getting up to if you celebrate. I’m officially back home in small-town USA for a couple weeks now. I’m excited to be spending a bit of time with my family doing all the festive activities we can.

I’ve been finishing up my Christmas shopping, checking out the London Christmas lights with friends, wrapping prezzies, and picking up some treats in Spitalfields market. I’ll be heading back to the USA for Christmas next weekend, so this is my last weekend to run about to get things done. Anyway, on to this week’s blog post.
For this week’s blog post, I wanted to write about the DOs and DON’Ts of styling hats. I alway find wearing hats a bit intimidating, and finding a hat I actually think suits me has always been a challenge. Is anyone else in the same boat? Anyway, I finally found a hat I love when I was at Notting Hill Market the other weekend and it seemed like the perfect excuse to share my tips for styling hats with you guys.
Read MoreHope you’ve all had a lovely Sunday. I’ve spent the weekend in Newcastle with my brother and Felicia, which was a lovely reminder of the fun times we had during the first lockdown. I’ve missed them so much. We went on some lovely chilly walks, drank some festive drinks, did a bit of baking, and ate some delish food. Wish I could’ve stayed for longer.
Anyway, on to this week’s blog post, which was inspired by this lovely little green bag. I got this bag nearly a year ago at a Christmas fundraiser put on by a care home. I saw the little bag and it reminded me of the popular brand Bottega Venetta’s styles. Only later did I find out that it was actually my cousins’ grandmother’s bag. She told me that she had matching heels at one point and it was real leather. She seemed so happy that it was going to someone she knew and it made the purchase even more special to me of course. As we’re coming upon the holiday season, I wanted to talk about the benefit of shopping vintage. I’ve briefly discussed the benefits of shopping small and second-hand, but I think it’s important to remind us of the beauty of shopping vintage.

Friday night we ordered a takeaway pizza and watched a movie, Saturday brought pretty bad weather, but I still got out for a quick run. Today I went for another run and then we walked around the Victoria Park Sunday Market in the sun. I got a Bahni Mi sandwich for lunch and it was insane. Tonight we’re attempting to make some homemade pasta! I’m excited to see how it goes! (Head over to my instagram for updates!)
This week, I wanted to talk about how what you wear really can affect your mood. Often times we fall victim to dressing how we feel, instead of dressing to improve that feeling. For example, if you’re feeling down, you might throw on a pair of comfy joggers and a hoodie. I challenge you to read this and then dress for how you want to feel instead of how you are feeling. We should all be using what we wear as a secret weapon to improve ourselves, our self-confidence, and our moods.

The good news is we made it through the first, so we will definitely be able to make it through this one! Hopefully this mini lockdown will help make it safer for us all around Christmas time.
For this week’s blog post, I wanted to explore how to find your own personal style. I get asked all the time “But Georgie, how do I find my own personal style?” It’s a common feeling to be lost or confused when it comes to defining your personal style, especially if you tend to flit from trend to trend. Others of you may ask “well, why is it important for me to define my style anyway?” Personally, I think knowing your own style is important for making future purchases that you will actually wear and will last in your wardrobe rather than being a wear-once kind of deal. Below, I’ve come up with the best ways to find your personal style.
Read MoreHope you’re all having a lovely Sunday. This weekend, I’ve been walking around Shoreditch and eating delish ramen. We also found this crumble stand in Spitalfield’s market that does mini customizable crumbles to-go! (We went for rhubarb and strawberry crumble, which was delish!) This week, I also got to take some cool shots with my lovely photographer friend, Lucy. Can’t wait to share the shots with you! It felt nice to get outside and get creative again. What have you guys been up to? Comment down below.
For this week’s blog post, I wanted to talk about one of the trending tv shows on Netflix at the minute, Emily in Paris. If you haven’t already watched it, I’m sure you’ve added it to your list or at least heard about it. This has been a very polarizing show and I wanted to share my own thoughts both good and not so good.

I went for strawberry pancakes of course. The rest of the week, I’ve also been cooking some good food, watching Gavin and Stacy, and doing a bit of cheeky shopping.
For this week’s blog post, I thought I’d style one of the pieces many of us have been adding to our wardrobes this season; a white shirt (especially with a statement collar)! My shirt of choice is this white number from H&M. Below I’ve created some ways you can style your own white shirt. If you head to my Instagram, you can check out the reel video I’ve made styling all of the below pieces with my white shirt.
