Happy New Year lovelies!

We survived! We finally made it through 2020 and into 2021. I hope you’re 2021 has been going well so far. I’ve had a pretty good start to the year as we got to go to Destin Florida for a few days. Feeling very lucky, refreshed, and ready for the new year ahead! (Check out my Instagram for all the beachy vibes.) I took a little blogging break over the past couple weeks to enjoy the festive period and being home with my family after not seeing them for a year. What did you get up to over the holidays? Leave a comment below with your favourite thing that you did or ate over the holiday period.
As always, I want to look back at some goals I made at the beginning of 2020 and see how I did with those goals. January 2020 was a very different time than January 2021 (we didn’t know what was about to hit us, did we?), but I still think it’s worth having a look back, even if I wasn’t able to reach all my goals due to circumstances. One goal I think I definitely achieved was to Move More. 2020 was one of my most fitness-focused years yet and I’m very proud of my commitment to running and working out this past year. As far as Don’t Take My Health for Granted, I definitely think COVID made me realize how important my health is and how grateful I am for my good health. Finally, I wanted to Be More Confident in Life & Love. I think I’m still working on this goal and COVID definitely affected this and made it a bit harder to be confident. I will take this goal with me into 2021.

Stand Tall

We all had quite a few set backs in 2020 and I was no exception. I had a tough year, but one thing I want to do in 2021 is to stand tall figuratively (but also literally to improve my posture haha). I need to believe in myself and acknowledge what I’ve achieved already and take these forward with me. No matter the set back, I want to rise and stand tall. I often forget about my accomplishments soon after achieving them and move on to the next goal, but I need to use these things to boost my confidence in myself and my abilities moving forward.

Learn to Roll With the Punches

2020 came with a lot of punches and I often panicked in the face of those challenges, but this year, I want to learn how to go with the flow. I want to work on taking things as they come and not getting tripped up by minor set backs. Life is about enjoying the moment, and I want to do more of that rather than worrying about what happened in the past or what could happen in the future.

Get a Dog

This goal is something I’ve had on my mind for a long time. You guys know how dog-obsessed I am. This year I really want to work towards making this happen, as I think I deserve a little furry bundle of joy in my life right now!

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. Leave a comment with one goal you’re setting for yourself this year or something you’re proud of achieving last year. I look forward to reading your goals and achievements! A special thank you goes to my girl, Lucy, for taking these shots! Check out her Instagram here. Anyway, hope you’ve all had a good start to 2021 and check back next week for a new post. Have an amazing week!
