Happy Earth Day friends! Today, inspired by my mom, I'm writing about plants, houseplants in particular. These delicate green organisms have some not-so-obvious benefits you may not have thought of. I, having not been blessed with my mother's green thumb, have killed my fair share of cacti and succulents. But with the help of my friend Marlie, I've been able to keep two plants alive, one of them for about a year! It's been surprisingly quite rewarding and I thought I should share my thoughts on these little green pals.
Read MoreAs inspired by a blog post written by my all-time-favorite blogger, Megan Ellaby, I wanted to reflect and send a note to my younger self. Hopefully this might help some of the younger people reading my blog dealing with messy issues associated with growing up, like finding yourself, learning to love yourself, and blocking those haterz haha. Your teens and even early twenties are a time of change, turmoil, and a little chaos, so here's my letter to my younger self.
Read MoreGood morning and happy Easter to those that celebrate! (I hope you're all eating extra chocolate today!) Inspired by my recent discovery of the show Westworld (I know I'm late, but if you have not seen it and like futuristic shows, seriously get on it!), I decided to dedicate a post to the western-inspired trends that have been gracing the fashion world as of late.
Although Western trends were showing up on runways starting last winter, they were absolutely ruling the AW18 runways all over the world, including fashion houses I really admire like House of Holland, Calvin Klein, and Topshop. Cowboy couture is a fairly easy trend to try out and you probably already have some of these trends in your wardrobe! Here's how you can conquer fashion's new frontier.
Read MoreHow has your weekend been this week? A lot of people are on spring break this week or next, so comment down below if you went or are going anywhere cool! Spring break means it's officially spring right?..even if it might snow this week lol.
Today, in celebration of the blooming spring flowers, we're talking all things color. After doing some research on last month's various fashion weeks, upcoming decor trends, and Pantone's official color forecast, I've created a condensed guide to the colors you need to be rocking this spring and which ones will suit you the best!
Read MoreI hope you're all having a lovely weekend and have survived this colder than expected March weather, especially if you were hit by the, so called, Beast from the East! Luckily, we made it out here with only a couple smaller flurries and a drop in temperature. Our trees are still blooming, as you can see! Today, I thought it would be a great idea to talk about you can re-style and recycle your New Year's Eve, Christmas, and other party dresses to make them more casual and spring appropriate! Wearing dresses in a casual way is one of my favorite outfits.
Read MoreI'm back! Sorry I missed last week's post, but I was visiting my beloved bestie, Joud, in Philadelphia and I really wanted to focus on fully experiencing it! So, in lieu of that, I thought I would dedicate this blog post to some of the amazing food, fun, and photogenic locations my gorgeous tour guide, Joud, took me to. (She honestly curated the best trip ever.)
Read MoreThis Valentine's Day, I've been thinking about how important it is to love yourself. Yes, we all have our little flaws, but loving yourself first is an essential part to being a healthy and overall happy individual, in my opinion. On this day when we're so busy showing everyone else how much we love them, don't forget to show yourself a little love.
Read MoreHow are you all doing on this dreary Sunday? Hopefully you've had a restful and fun filled weekend. As per request, I thought I would highlight some of my beloved shoes and some cheeky little tips I used to build my current shoe collection.
Read MoreIt's finally February! We made it through one of the longest months of the year. Congrats! This week, in light of recent women's marches that went on throughout the world a couple weeks ago, I thought I would talk about how we can better support the community of women in our lives. Whether that be the women in your workplace, an online community of women you've never met, or just your closest confidants and best of friends, we should all have each others' backs! You might not have made it to a women's march near you, but here's how you can support women on a smaller, but still important, scale.
Read MoreI hope you're all doing well on this dreary January morning. Has this not been the longest month ever? It feels like it will never end, and I don't know about you, but we've been having some not-so-lovely weather! Instead of crisp, frosty mornings, we've been having soggy grey ones.
Because of the less than cheerful weather and this never-ending month after the holiday season, I know many of you, like me, is getting a bit bored or feeling uninspired when it comes to your wardrobe. You've probably even resulted to wearing black everyday, which, while easy, can also be quite unexciting. Not to fear though, I'm challenging you to reinvent the way we all wear black.
(My friend from high school, Miranda Meyers took these amazing shots for me, and they're honestly some of my favorites to date. We had so much fun creating these photos and chatting all afternoon! I've been wanting to work with her for ages now. Head over to her blog and instagram and give her amazing work some love.)
