Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday. Leave a comment with what you’ve been up to below. This weekend has been a fairly quiet one as my roommates have been away camping. Friday evening was spent making a prawn and coconut laksa, which I must admit was quite delish! Yesterday, I went for a run in Victoria Park and treated myself to a coffee and cinnamon pastry, while I watched the dogs and children run around. Then I spent the day reading and painting my nails in the garden. Today I had a much needed lie in and then went for yoga in the park. I’ve been in the back garden again today reading and writing this blog post. Treating myself to a takeaway tonight for dinner I think and then we have our weekly pub quiz. Anyway, let’s get on to talk about this gorgeous little tennis skirt.
Read MoreHope you’re all having a lovely weekend and have been lucky enough to get some good weather. It’s gloriously sunny here in London. This weekend has been a busy-ish one compared to the lockdown weekends. Yesterday, I ran in Victoria Park and saw lots of cute dogs, made a millionaires shortbread (which is delish), and treated myself to a takeaway pizza from one of my favorite places in London. Today, I got up and walked to the park to do a little workout video and then my roommate and I grabbed a coffee and heading to Colombia Road Flower Market, as it reopened today. I had a couple plant casualties over lockdown, so it was nice to pick up a few bits to fill my empty pots. My room is finely starting to feel more green and lively again.
Now that we’re all putting our sweatpants back in our wardrobe, and allowed to go out and about a little bit more, I wanted to focus of some of the top trends for this summer. Below are my summer must-haves.
Read MoreHow are you on this fine Sunday? Have you been up to anything exciting this week or weekend? I travelled back to London this week. Glad to be reunited with my clothes and looking forward to going on some social distancing catch ups with some of my friends. I’ve started running around Victoria Park, which I’m seeing loads of cute dogs everyday, and I’ve also been walking around some of my favorite places in East London. Anyway, let’s get on to this week’s post.
Today, I wanted to talk about one of my new purchases and why you might need to add one to your wardrobe too. The co-ord is a matching set of tops and bottoms that make for easy, stylish dressing, and they’re all the rage right now. I’ve been a fan of co-rds for a few year now, but I think it’s time everyone find the one for them, whether it’s a bubblegum number like mine, or a more neutral set.
Read MoreHow’s your Sunday going? We’ve had a pretty nice weekend. Yesterday, we went to the coast and spent the day reading on the beach, eating ice cream, and hunting for cool rocks and shells as we walked along the beach. Today has been quite chilled. We’ve walked around town to get a few bits for dinner and watched a movie. Tonight is the weekly' family quiz, so I’m excited for that, but anyway let’s get on to this week’s post.
For this week’s blog post, I’ve decided to challenge myself, and you, to wear a colour you’re normally afraid to wear. My colour is orange. I’ve always been a bit unsure as to whether it suited me or not, and I find that it has to be exactly the right shade for me to like it. Below are some guidelines that I follow to help me get over my fear of orange and falling in love with these trousers.

We also had a game night with friends which was filled with laughter. The weather hasn’t been the best this week, but we’ve made the most of it with more indoor board games and a James Bond movie marathon. Fergus also cooked us a fancy steak dinner last night which was one of the best steaks I’ve had. I’m probably going back to London soon, so I’m cherishing the time I’ve gotten to spend here with Fergus and Felicia. What have you been doing to keep busy this week?
This week I wanted to share one of my lockdown pass-times, painting my nails. It has been very therapeutic to have an outlet for my creativity and to have something pretty to look down at for a little pick me up. I’ve been painting my nails each week, and I wanted to compile some of my favorite designs here on the blog. I’ve done everything from clouds to flames to ombre! It’s been so nice to experiment with color and pattern. It’s also been a great way for me to feature some of my jewellery on my Instagram. Below are some of my tips for getting a bit more creative with your at-home manis!
Read MoreHow are you fairing on this dreary Sunday? This week has been a whirlwind. Ive felt guilty, inspired, anxious, and hopeful. I’ve spent a lot of my week educating myself more about the Black Lives Matter Movement, diversifying my Instagram feed, and speaking to friends and family about the issue. I’ve found a lot of joy in searching for new faces to add to my feed and I feel as though I’ve learned so much already. (I think a blog post will becoming about how you can help support the cause soon.) For now, we jump back to something not quite as important, but that might spark a little joy; fashion.
This week I wanted to focus on some comfy at-home pieces that might be beneficial to your wardrobe since we’re still spending quite a bit of time indoors. (And once we’re free they’ll still be perfect for cozy weekends in!) These are pieces you can still keep in your wardrobe even after corona.
Read MoreAnyway, how have you all been coping this week? Have you ventured out a bit more, as lockdown rules ease? I’ve been on quite a few picnics outside and reading in the sunshine. Other than that, not much has changed here.
This week I’ve mixed it up and made a video on how I’ve been styling bright colours right now. I’ve also created a few tips below on how you can start styling more bright shades in your own wardrobe. I know it can be intimidating at times to break away from your usual blacks and beiges, but these tips just might make you feel a bit more adventurous.

This week I’ve started an online course about fashion and sustainability, which has been super interesting. I’ve also made a few new dinners, like my mum’s beef stew and herb dumplings, which was almost delish as her’s. I’ve been doing my usual running and had two picnics in the sunshine while reading my new book. (I think I’ve picked up a bit of a tan actually.) I got some fun new photos for the blog and Instagram.
After many a weekly quiz, countless coffee catch-ups, and video board games, I’ve learned a thing or two about what we should be wearing during these primarily seated and still get-togethers. Business on top and party on the bottom are a zoom meeting’s best friend.
Read MoreHope you’re having a lovely weekend. Sorry for the lack of post last week. I’m just getting all mixed up with the days in lockdown, I must admit. Who else is finding it hard to keep track during lockdown? Have you been up to anything exciting this week? I’ve finished my couch to 5k app, baked some orange scones, made a delish sea bass dinner, and took some new photos for the blog and Instagram.
I’m not sure if you know, but I’ve been spending lockdown with my brother and his lovely girlfriend up in Newcastle. Other than the odd visit here once or twice, I had never really experienced Newcastle until my brother moved up here. He’s shown me all of his favorite spots, but I never really got to spend longer than a few days up here and I’ve never explored it on my own. One would argue that you always experience a city differently when you explore alone. It’s more intimate. Obviously I’ve had Fergus and Felicia with me a lot, but I’ve also gotten to know the city on my own as well. Even though I can’t visit a lot of places I want to, I am learning to love it here.
Read MoreI hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. What have you been to doing to keep busy in lockdown this week? I celebrated my 25th birthday, which I can’t believe has already come and gone. We got a takeaway, ate some rainbow cake that Felicia and I proudly made, and watched some Disney films. Yesterday, we had our weekly family Facetime pub quiz which was super fun, and we had carbonara and g&ts for dinner. It was a pretty good week.
In honor of my 25th birthday, I thought I’d share some new facts about myself so you could get to know me a bit better. I’ve done posts like this in the past, so if you’d like some more facts you can check out this post. Comment something interesting about yourself down below too!
