Turning 25 & 10 Facts About Me

Happy Sunday friends,

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. What have you been doing to keep busy in lockdown this week? I celebrated my 25th birthday, which I can’t believe has already come and gone. We got a takeaway, ate some rainbow cake that Felicia and I proudly made, and watched some Disney films. Yesterday, we had our weekly family Facetime pub quiz which was super fun, and we had carbonara and g&ts for dinner. It was a pretty good week.

In honor of my 25th birthday, I thought I’d share some new facts about myself so you could get to know me a bit better. I’ve done posts like this in the past, so if you’d like some more facts you can check out this post. Comment something interesting about yourself down below too!

1. I’m Obsessed with All Things Medical

I’m not sure why, but I’ve always been intrigued by medical things. I love learning about the body and different surgeries, diseases, and cures. It might be because I used to watch ER and Grey’s Anatomy with my mum when I was younger. I never get grossed out by anything, so if you need anyone to check out your weird rash or watch Dr. Pimple Popper with, call me up lol. (My friends used to make fun of me for watching plastic surgeries on YouTube while I was eating breakfast.)

2. My Favorite Trend Right Now is Neons or Brights

Neon and bright colours are my current favorite trend for spring/summer 2020. These pink trousers and similar bright pieces are definitely the one’s I’m reaching for the most in my wardrobe. I’ve also added a neon green tank to my wardrobe recently too.

3. I Have Really Small Ears

This is a really random one, but my ears are really small. Like so small they don’t really hold my hair back and I can’t fit many piercings on my ears. Despite my small tabs, I do have good hearing though thank goodness.

4. My Least Favorite Trend is Still Camo

As I said in my last facts post, camo is still my least favorite trend at the minute. I’m not sure why, but it’s just never been a pattern that appealed to me.

5. I’ve Only Ever Cried During Three Films

Something that you might not expect about me is that it takes a lot for me to cry at a film, and I’ve never cried while reading a book. In fact, to this day, I’ve only ever cried during three films. It’s typically animals dying that really gets me. Marley & Me was probably the worst for me lol.

6. I’ve Recently Started to Enjoy Cooking

While I wasn’t born with the natural cooking instincts my mum (and Granny & Grandma) seems to have passed on to my brother, I am learning to like cooking and become a bit more confident in it. While in lockdown, we’ve been ordering from Gousto, a cooking subscription box. I’ve learned some more cooking basics and to be a bit more comfortable in the kitchen.

7. I Had a Birthmark That Disappeared

When I was little I had a red birthmark on my stomach that later disappeared with age. That is all haha.

8. I have a Huge Family

Because my dad is one of ten and my mum is one of four, I have quite an extensive family. I love having a big family to be honest. Chances are there is always someone nearby if you really need them and it makes family gatherings just that much more fun.

9. I’ve Been Quite Stubborn From a Young Age

As a Taurus, I’ve always been quite stubborn and stuck in my ways. In fact, when I was just about one, I really wanted to wear a pink cardigan to the local fair but my parents told me I couldn’t because it was in the wash. I refused to wear anything else, so they said “Georgie if you don’t wear the yellow cardigan we’re not going to the fair.” Needless to say, we never made it to the fair…

10. I’m Pretty Flexible

Although I only took gymnastics for a couple of years, I’ve managed to keep my flexibility, especially in my back. I’m quite good at doing back bends. I can walk around in a back bend and I can lie on my back and get all the way up without using my arms. I probably should’ve stuck with the gymnastics to be fair.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. Hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about me. What fact surprised you the most? I’d love if you’d comment something about yourself, so I can get to know you too. You can also shop my outfit below if you’re interested. Special thank you to Felicia for taking this gorg shots and providing the lovely plants. Have an amazing week guys! Check back next week for a new post.
