Hi Fall/Winter 2017 Trends
Hello lovelies,
I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. I am completely loving this cool fall weather, which in my book means drinking hot tea, stepping on crunchy leaves, and wearing all the cool weather appropriate items!
In true form, I have compiled the definitive list of pieces you need in your Fall 2017 wardrobe.
Power Red
As I've mentioned before, and much to my joy, bright red is the color of the season. You will see this power red splashed all over runways, street style, and even the glorious fall leaves. I'm clearly all about this particular trend, but even just adding a little pop of red here and there will get you feeling fashionable and festive in Fall 2017. Check Blazer
The must-have pattern of this season is Prince of Wales check, also known as Glen plaid in the U.S., especially in blazer form. While giving off that oh-so-in 'grandpa chic' vibe, I feel like it just makes any outfit look more put together. I picked mine up from H&M, but you could probably find an amazing one buried behind some retro tees at your nearest Goodwill!
Fun Fur or Subtle Shearling
Fur and shearling are always big winners for the fall and winter season, but this year they seem to be adorning everything from bags to tops! I think the weirder the better, so if you're brave enough, find something in fur that is unexpected! But if you want to be a bit more traditional, every on-trend coat seems to have one or the other, so finding your perfect flurry of fur shouldn't be too difficult!
Patent or Leather
Black patent or leather are very in for this season, especially when it comes to skirts and pants! Find your perfect leather/ faux leather piece to make any outfit just that little bit more bad-ass.
Velvet
I mentioned in my last post velvet's obvious return, and it just cannot be ignored! This season, specifically look for velvet pieces that are deep emerald greens and golden yellows. A deep green velvet dress would make the perfect Christmas day outfit, don't you think?
