Happy Sunday friends,

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. As per the usual, I want to hear all about what you’ve been up to this weekend so comment down below. I’ve had a very productive weekend of shooting content with my friend, Millie, going on walks in the park, and eating yummy food in chinatown with my friend, Kardelen. I’ve also managed to have a much-needed tidy as well and planned some exciting future projects for the blog and socials, so I’d say it’s been a successful weekend.

For this week’s blog post, since everyone is finally transitioning back into office life, I thought I’d share some tips for making a style comeback after spending nearly a year getting a bit too comfy at home.

Pop of Colour

Springtime means you can trade your grey and cream knits for something a bit more exciting. I recommend taking this into the office too, by adding a pop of colour to your work wear. The easiest way to do this is to choose one key colour and pair with other neutrals in your wardrobe. Be brave! You’ve been stuck inside for a year, so don’t be afraid to go bright! Wear a bright top with a blazer and trousers or if you’re feeling very brave wear bright trousers with a neutral blazer and white button down.

Think Suiting

After spending a year in sweats, it’s finally time to dust off your tailored pieces again. Wearing suiting is an amazing way to add the confidence you need to make a killer entrance back into the office. You’ll be feeling like the boss even if you’re not quite there yet. I recommend throwing on a blazer with just about any top and make it office appropriate and getting your trousers tailored to fit you perfectly can make all the difference.

Elevated

Most of us have spent the pandemic in slippers or maybe trainers, but tell me, when was the last time you put on a pair of heels? Your feet have had enough time to recuperate! Your feet want to feel fancy too, so I recommend dragging out your heels or heeled boots for a bit of air time. Again, adding a little lift to your look can make all the difference, even if it’s just a kitten heel.

Over the Top Accessorizing

As you can see, I am taking accessorizing to a whole new level at the minute and why not? I’ve been adding my old pearls to new looks and loving it (I’ve even been wearing them with my hoodies when I am still stuck indoors)! It’s our time to shine. Throw on all the jewellery you’ve been waiting a year to wear and take your outfit from dull to exciting in seconds. You’ll also need some cute shades to wear on the way to work, so keep an eye out for the perfect pair.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. Are you excited to go back to office life? What are you excited to wear now that we’re coming out of lockdown? Comment down below. A special shout out to the lovely Millie for taking these shots for me. Check out her gorgeous instagram here. Have an amazing week guys and check back next weekend for a new blog post.
