Can't Go Without the Cargo

Hello friends,

How are you all doing on this chilled Sunday evening? This weekend, I’ve been settling back into my flat after arriving back in London, went out for an ABBA night with my roomies, and then hung out with my pal, Jade, and took some blog photos together. Comment down below what you’ve been up to.

This week, I wanted to write about one of my new favorite trends, the cargo pant. (I know, how 90s of me!) They were a 90s classic, and now they’re back, just like a lot of other 90s trends lately. For this post, I wanted to talk about how I've styled my cargo pants and how you can too.

Choosing the right Pair

The key to rocking cargo pants, is choosing the right pair in the first place. I would avoid going for traditional cargo pant colors like olive green or grey. I went for this cream, satin pair from Zara.

Feminine Top

The challenge with cargo pants is making them look more feminine as they lean more on the masculine side. I went with this more feminine top from Stradivarius. The embroidery and square neck give a more feminine feel to the outfit.

Casual vs. Classy

The good thing about cargo pants is that they can be dressed down with a pair of trainers or dressed up with a pair of heels. They’re quite versatile. I chose to dress style mine in a more casual manner since this is how I'll probably wear them the most.

Extra accessories

To go with my satin cargos, I wanted to add some feminine, summery accessories. I chose a scarf to wrap around my ponytail, some pointy sunnies, and as always a mini bag.
