Cheeky Little Life Update

Hello and Happy Sunday friends!

I hope you've all had a great week. I've been in San Diego, so I must admit, I've had a pretty smashing week! I'd never been to San Diego before, but I was met with warm weather, lush flowers, and endless things to do, but I'll talk about all those exciting things more in my mini guide to San Diego which I'm currently working up! See what I did there? Now you have some thing to look forward to for next week!

Anyway, back to this week's point of topic which is just a cheeky little catch up really. I wanted to take the time to update you on some exciting things coming up for me.

An Internship

First of all, I nailed down a dream internship! Yay! It's painstakingly taken over a year and half to find and actually get an internship that I'm thrilled about. I've sent out hundreds of emails, most with no response, applied to endless online internship opportunities, and interviewed for all kinds of positions, so it has been by no means easy, but definitely worth it. It is with the fashion public relations company HPR London. I'm sure I will be doing a lot of cleaning and tea making, but I'm honestly still so excited. I'll be surrounded by creative people who are passionate about the same things I am, which is the main thing I'm excited for. I'm also so excited to work with sample clothes in a showroom and possibly connect with stylists, photographers, designers, and other people in the fashion industry. (I'll of course be writing more about the ins and outs of the internship once I'm there and actually working.)

London

The internship is in London (eeekk!) from early August to mid-October! I'm so excited to finally be living and working in a city, which I've wanted to experience for so long now. I've already made a list of all the things I want to do while I'm there and even more importantly where I want to eat lol. Comment down below with any recommendations of what I need to do and where I need to eat while I'm there! I'm also planning to hang around until Christmas, so it will be nice to be closer to some of my cousins and other family while I'm there! Hopefully, I'll be able to hang out with some of the family I've missed over the years being in the U.S. Of course I'm incredibly nervous and anxious, but I just have to keep reminding myself that the positives far out weigh my nervousness.

How gorgeous is this red gingham top from Hope Ave.?! It's off the shoulder which I normally shy away from, but the cheeky little straps made it so much more comfortable!

Wearing All Black to Work

The big fashion change that is happening in my life is preparing to wear black everyday...dun dun dun! If you haven't noticed, I think I've become addicted to color lately, but for this new internship, I'm required to wear all black everyday! What am I going to do, you may be asking. Well, I've started accumulating some super cute black items, even though it's been extremely hard to train my eyes to go for the black items rather than the rainbow ones. I'm also planning to up my earring game maybe add a sneaky bit of color and interest. Keep tuned in because I'm sure I'll have a blog post dedicated to styling an all black wardrobe in the future.

Leave me a comment down below with something going on in your life. I want to hear about your life updates too! Also if you leave a comment I'll give you a cookie...not really, but wouldn't that be great if I could! Special thank you to the always amazing Miranda from Wildroot Photo for taking photos for me again! (She's seriously so good at making me feel comfortable in front of the camera!) Here's her website and Instagram if you want to have a little nosey! Don't forget to check back again next week for another post. Hopefully, it will be my mini guide to San Diego so you can learn all about what we did and what I recommend, if you ever visit yourself! Thank you for reading this weeks post!
