Making the Most of the Last Summer Days
Happy Sunday everyone,
How are you doing on this fine Sunday? I hope you've had a great week! I am trying to savor my last weekend before the semester begins tomorrow...I have to admit, I'm not entirely looking forward to it. I know it will be a lot better once I'm into the swing of things though, and this is the last semester of my undergraduate degree, so I need to make the most of it!
Anyway, on to the topic of this week's blog post. Let's talk about making the most of the last few moments of summer. Where I am, we'll most likely have at least another month of warm weather. While I am 100% ready for fall, I'm still thinking of all the summer outfits I need to squeeze in before it cools down. Below is my list of summer pieces you need to wear before it's too chilly!
Those Summer Colors
Warmer weather typically means brighter colors like yellows, pinks, reds, and pale blues. I'm definitely taking advantage of the last month of summer by wearing all the brightest shades. This gorgeous bright yellow top is going to be so missed when the weather gets too cool for it, but don't worry, it will definitely reappear in next summer's wardrobe!
Lightweight Fabrics
Don't forget about the lightweight fabrics like linen, thin cotton, and chambray. These last few weeks of summer may get a little humid, so be sure to get your wear out of those light summery pieces. These gorgeous gingham pants are so breathable, and I couldn't be more comfortable on this muggy summer evening. This won't last forever though, so I'm wearing while my legs are still toasty warm.
Open-Toe Shoes
Your little piggies are going to miss the warm weather too, so get them out while you still can! Throw on those sandals and mules before it's too cold for your toes. I chose to throw on my black open-toe mules for this particular outfit, especially since my pedicure is still a bright shade of summer red!
All Your Cool Shades
Now is the time to rock all your coolest sunglasses! Definitely take advantage of the last weeks of summer sun, and break out your colored shades. With this outfit, I'm rocking my pink WearMe Pro aviator-style sunnies. I thought they were the perfect ode to sunny summer weather.
I know we're saying we wish fall would hurry up and get here, but don't forget to make the most of these last golden days of summer, when it comes to your outfits and your life!
