Accessory of the Season: Statement Earrings

I hope you're all having a wonderful summer weekend, and happy Memorial Day for all of those in the U.S.! Also, I need to give a special shout out to my wonderful, supportive mother, whose birthday is on Tuesday! Happy birthday lovely lady!

Anyway, a new and exciting way to to accessorize is sweeping through the fashion world, and I just had to tell you.  The statement earring is the new way to vamp up your spring/summer outfit.  

Personally, I'm not a huge accessory person.  You probably already know, I typically wear my gold bee necklace, diamond studs, and gold bangle everyday.  I like to keep my bling pretty delicate and minimal so the clothes can take front and center, but this trend intrigued me.  I've been seeing this trend on the red carpet, the runway, and all over social media.  I had to give it a go for myself, so I traded in my usual diamond studs for something a little more exciting and bold.  I got these particular earrings at Style Encore, but they're popping up in all kinds of boutiques and shops.  I liked these because of the pale pink color and the tassel means they're pretty lightweight.

To compliment my new statement earrings, I chose a floral embroidered top from Zara, which just screams spring/summer!  I paired that with my Topshop skinnies and platforms as my neutral pieces.  I then grabbed my army green bag and round sunglasses to finish off this summer look.  Scroll down to shop this look!  If there are any pieces I couldn't find, I found similar items instead.
