Festive Plaid Fan

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays friends,

I hope you're all enjoying your time off with your families and friends and eating lots of amazing festive foods.  (Comment down below what your favorite food is this time of year!)

This is an outfit I've been dying to rock, and one I deemed very appropriate for the festive season!  For some unknown reason, plaid, especially red plaid, has always reminded me of the holidays.  I'm not sure if it's the cozy feeling it makes me think of, or the red associated with Santa Claus, holly berries, and cardinals, but I love to incorporate plaid in my wardrobe at this time of year.  

While plaid may seem like quite an intimidating pattern to rock, other than in a shirt form, I think you should get in the festive spirit and give it a go yourself!  I've included some unexpected and exciting plaid options below if you need some ideas and are not feeling quite up to plaid pants like mine!

To accompany my gorgeous plaid pants from Urban Outfitters, I chose a simple light grey sweater from H&M, keeping the cozy vibes going.  Next I wanted to extend the festive red, so I adorned my feet with my favorite boots of the season! (Seriously, I cannot stop wearing these Cruella De Ville inspired beauties!  I need to find them in another color so I can mix it up.)  For a clash of pattern, I grabbed my gorgeous new Rebecca Minkoff.  I'm obsessed.  The red snake-skin pattern against the plaid gives me life haha.
