Hello friends,

Sorry this post is a tad late! How are you all doing this week? Have you been up to anything exciting this past weekend? Comment down below if you’ve been on any exciting adventures, seen any good Netflix series, or gotten some much needed things completed. I’m nosey haha so I want to hear all about what you’ve been up to.

For this week’s post, I wanted to talk about one of this season’s biggest trends, corduroy! While it comes back around every fall/winter season, it seems to be making an even bigger comeback this year and in some new and interesting ways! I’ve seen corduroy in more colors, styles, and shapes this fall than I’ve ever imagined and I’m kind of loving it! I don’t have a lot of corduroy pieces yet myself, but the few bits I do have, like this dress from Zara, are keeping me warm and stylish! The thickness of this fabric is an amazing bonus, much needed at this time of year. I’ve come up with a few tips for rocking corduroy your own way, so carry on reading to hear what I have to say about this unique fabric.

Let the Texture Do The talking

The most beautiful thing about corduroy, in my opinion, is the texture! Personally, I love pairing it more with subtle pieces that will let its texture shine in all it’s 70s glory. For this outfit in particular I went with white Office boots and a white denim jacket. I then contrasted the dress a little bit with my pink crocodile bag from the Kooples!

Corduroy Crayolas

This year we’ve been provided with an endless choice when it comes to the different colors of this textured fabric. I recommend going for something unexpected when picking up some corduroy of your own. Maybe go for a pale pink pair of trousers, a baby blue blazer, or a rusty red dress to be very fall appropriate, like I did! This makes the 70s-style fabric seem a bit more modern and updated rather than dated and boring.

As always, thank you so much for reading this week’s post! Remember, you can shop my outfit below, if you’re interested in anything in particular! What are your thoughts on corduroy? Are you going to give this fall trend a go this season? Above are some of my top corduroy picks if you need a little help! Special thanks to London photographer, Zoe Griffin for taking these lovely shots! She was so lovely, easy to chat to, and of course is very talented.
