I hope you've all survived the work-week and are enjoying your weekend! I'm in a great mood because the sun has been shining and there's been a lovely breeze blowing through. Also to all the mothers out there, Happy Mother's Day! I don't know what I'd do without my mom/best friend/biggest supporter, so make sure you treat your mom well and thank her for raising you into the lovely, stylish person you are today.

Now onto this week's style post! What's more summery than a bit of pattern mixing? I know one of the most challenging trends can be mixing and matching patterns, without coming off as a crazy bag lady...So, below are my tips for mixing different patterns, and still looking like a your stylish and sane.

Summer Ready

Sorry for my little blogging break last weekend. It was my 22nd birthday and I just wanted to focus on spending time with my lovely friends and family! Thank you to all of those who left me lovely birthday wishes on Facebook and Instagram. You guys are the best! For this week's fashion post, I thought I would go for a more summery look. There is a festival in town this weekend and the sun has been shining everyday, so I thought this look was very appropriate.

The Corset: From The 16th Century to The 21st

Who wouldn't want to take a trip back in time to the 16th century when extravagant gowns and bouffant hair were at their height? Although we'd all love to be lords and ladies for a day, a heavy hoop skirt and layers of heavy fabric wouldn't be the most practical for driving cars or going to the grocery store.

Since it's one of the biggest trends of the season, I've decided to take the corset into my own hands and make it my own.

Color Forecast: Spring 2017

So spring has finally sprung, and the weather is slowly changing from dull and chilly to bright, crisp, and a little warmer.

One of the most wonderful things about spring, in my opinion, is the introduction of the color that was lost during those dull winter months. The flowers start blooming and that means your wardrobe can too! I've been thoroughly enjoying adding some pops of color back into my life the past couple weeks, so I thought I would research what colors will be trending this season so you can try them out too. The Print of the Season: Gingham

I hope this mid-week post as opposed to my Sunday post didn't throw you off too much! Due to an overwhelming amount of school work and some crazy, inclement weather, I had to push the post back to today. I know..excuses..excuses, but let's get on with this post, and just maybe you can forgive me.
