Tailored to Perfection
Happy Monday friends,
Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. I’ve had a very busy weekend celebrating my 26th birthday with friends and family, after a very stressful week. Unfortunately, last week both my card was cancelled due to fraudulently activity and my phone was stolen, so I needed this weekend for sure! We spent the weekend eating delish food around London and doing a bit of shopping of course!
For this week’s blog post I wanted to talk about the importance of tailoring and why you need to find a tailor you can depend on. I’ve recently switched tailors and I’m so pleased with the service and price, I had to share! If you live in the Hackney/Victoria Park area in London, you definitely need to try JCD Dry Cleaners in Victoria Park Village. I had a pair of jeans taken in at the waist and you can’t even tell they’ve been altered at all!
Instant Outfit Elevation
If clothes fit you perfectly, you instantly look more put together, and unfortunately because bodies vary so much, off the rack clothing doesn’t always fit well. An ill fitting outfit can be make or break when it comes to looking your best. Don’t settle for pieces that don’t fit you. Tailoring can be affordable and life changing if you find the right one. When something fits your body perfectly you’re bound to feel your best.
You Never Know When You Might Need An Emergency REpair
Your favourite jeans have ripped down the seam and you’re sick of just replacing them for one little rip. What are you going to do? Well, you’re going to call the tailor that you’ve befriended because of this blog post! Your favourite pieces don’t just have to be thrown away because of damage. A lot of times, a skilled tailor can fix items like this. Plus, getting your favourite pieces fixed instead of throwing them away and replacing them is much more environmentally friendly.
Finding the perfect fit
Researching tailors and dry cleaners near you for reviews before is key. Check out what other people have been saying about the company. Doing your research might just save you from a disappointing alteration job or a dry cleaning mishap, which happens more often than you’d expect.
Put them to the test
Once you find a tailor online that you think looks reputable, it’s time to test them out. I recommend giving them something to tailor that isn’t too expensive to replace in case they don’t do the best job. For example, I tested out my new tailor with a pair of £20 jeans, and was blown away by how well they altered them.
Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. I hope you’ll consider finding a quality tailor and getting some of your clothes tailored to perfection. Follow me on Instagram for daily updates and check back next week for a new post! Have a good week guys.
