Happy Sunday friends,

Glad to have you back here on the Style Transplant. It’s been a bit of a busy one, so I’ve neglected the blog unfortunately, but on the flip side I have been traveling and thinking of new blog post material, so I have plenty to tell you about. How have you been? What have you been up to this weekend? I’ve had a bit of a chilled one after a busy weekend of travel the weekend before to St. Tropez (mini travel guide coming soon), but I’ve still managed to eat some delicious cheese fondue with my friend Megan yesterday and shoot some blog content and catch up with my friend Millie today. Anyway, on to this week’s blog post all about how you should be styling your LBD (little black dress) in 2021. Keep reading to get my styling tips to take your simple go-to dress from boring to stylish.

Add a Killer Belt

The waist belt trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, so if you still haven’t picked up one for yourself yet, now is the time. I have about four or more now and they just make any simple dress way more exciting. A cool belt can not only create a wonderful waist cinching effect, but it also makes your simple dress way more interesting and on trend, without having to purchase a new outfit.

To Boot

As we transition into fall, pairing your LBD with a little ankle boot instead of a sandal can really boost your look. Boots, as you all already know, are my favourite footwear and I think they just make feminine dresses look way more fun and edgy.

Printed Blazer/Jacket

Layering an interesting jacket or blazer on top of your LBD can also take it from 0 to 100 in seconds. By thinking of your black dress as a blank canvas, you can pretty much pair it with any interesting colour or print.

All the Accessories

Layered necklaces are still going to be very on-trend for Autumn/Winter 2021. For this look, I stacked all my current favourite necklaces to add a bit of interest and colour to the outfit. Accessorize away with a LBD.

Layer Player

Take your simple LBD up a notch by putting your favourite button down underneath. This could be a simple white one with a fun collar or something printed or colourful. The weather is finally cooling off a bit so now is your change to pick up your layering game again without sweating your ass off.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. I hope I’ve inspired you to get out your LBD and style it up a bit differently to how your normally do. Shop some little black dresses I love below. Keep an eye out next week for my mini guide to St. Tropez and in the mean time, follow me on Instagram and Facebook for daily life updates. I hope you all have a lovely week.
