Happy Sunday,

Hope you had a lovely weekend. I’ve finally spent a spent a weekend in London after two lovely weekends in Derbyshire. I really enjoying

This week’s blog post is about how to make black and white outfits a little more exciting. I know many of you feel most comfortable in these neutrals. Even though I’m a lover of colour, I’m working on finding my love for neutrals again and working on how I can still give it my personal flair.

Unexpected Layering

I used layering in my outfit to make black and white more interesting. This bustier is from Urban Outfitters and I thought it would look really cool over white tops or dresses. I got this simple t-shirt dress at Zara.

Accessorize

Accessorizing is another way I tried to make my outfit a bit more exciting. I layered my gold necklaces and added a few rings for a bit of sparkle.

Texture

Texture is another great way to liven up a monochrome outfit. A black shiny leather against a white fluffy jumper makes for a lovely combo this time of year and the opposite textures compliment one another.

PATTERN

Adding pattern to an outfit is another great way to add extra interest. There are plenty of classic black and white prints to choose from as well like polka dots, stripes, and gingham.

Thank you so much for reading this weekend’s blog post. Are you going to be wearing black and white this fall? Comment down below how you’re going to jazz up your neutrals, whether it may be with accessories, textures, patterns or layering. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with my daily shenanigans. A special thank you goes out to Lucy for taking these lovely photos when it was a bit warmer. Check back next week for a new post!
