Spring Cleaning for Your Skin

Exfoliate Gently
Exfoliating is, in my opinion, the number one way you can get your skin spring/summer ready. Exfoliating away those dry, dead skin cells will make way for the gorgeous, glowing skin underneath! Along my skin journey, I've realized that there is more than one way to exfoliate. Apart from the harsh scrubs that usually leave your skin red and raw, you can also exfoliate with chemical exfoliates such as glycolic acid, AHA (alpha hydroxy acids), lactic acid, and citrus fruit. The Averr Aglow Radiant Cleaning Nectar and Georgette Klinger's Vitamin C Toner are my favorite, gentle exfoliants that reduce red marks and remove dull, dean skin.
Moisture is Key
After shedding all that dead skin, your skin will be in need of a little extra moisture to plump and brighten even more. My favorite products to moisturize my face are the Averr Aglow Flawless Nourishment Cream for daytime and Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference Cream for night time. These both penetrate deep into your skin without leaving you oily.
Natural for the Win
Another thing I've learned along the way is that harsh chemicals are rarely the best solution. I've been using more and more natural products myself and they're definitely on the rise. Natural products tend to be gentler and kinder to skin. For fresh spring skin, gentle natural products are the way to go.
