How to Shop Online Like a Pro
Good morning lovelies!
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I'm sorry I missed last week's post. I am officially starting my senior show at university, so I had a very busy week last week.
Anyway, let's get into this week's post which is all about shopping online. Honestly, online shopping is a little intimidating at first, isn't it? Never fear, Georgie is here! I have a few little tips that will make your online experience just that much smoother. I mean think about it, what could be better than shopping from the comfort of your own bed?
Use the Size Guide
The first favor you can do for yourself when shopping online, is using the size guide. For most websites, a size guide will be provided somewhere on the page of each product. This will tell you the exact measurements coordinating with your size. All you have to do is get out your tape measure and measure yourself. Then find your correct size on the chart. This will help you get the best fit possible without having to guess your size. I always check the size guide before purchasing something online just to lower the risk that I will have to return it.
Buy Pieces You know will fit
The easiest items of clothing to buy online are things like tops and shoes. For the most part, shoes are pretty standard sizing, and tops can vary a little in shape and size and still look amazing. Things like jeans, dresses, and bras can be a lot harder to find the perfect size without trying them on, so stick to shopping in-store for items like this.
Check the Materials
Another little detail you should look at when online shopping, are the materials that the piece is made with. You don't want to experience the disappointment of ordering what you thought was a cashmere sweater when in reality it is 100% polyester. So scroll down and find the materials and care intrustrutions so you know exactly what you're dealing with before you buy.
Shop Your Favorite Stores
The best places to shop online are brands you're already familiar with, because you are already familiar with the sizing and quality of their clothing. I usually just stick to my favorite shops since I've already shopped in-store, when surfing the web for some new threads.
Check the Return or Exchange Policy
Stores who respect your business online will always provide a decent exchange/return policy. Most, like ASOS, Zara, and Topshop, will offer free returns so you don't even have to worry if you need to return or exchange anything. Before I get too excited browsing through pages and pages of gorgeous clothes, I make myself check the return/exchange policy.
So next time you really want a cute new top or a new pair of sandals, sit back with a cup of tea and scroll your way to a much better online shopping experience. Leave a comment below of the next place you're going to shop online. As always, I love you for reading along and have a lovely week!
