2017 Fashion Resolutions
Good morning and Happy New Year!
I hope you have all had a wonderful start to the new year, and I'm sorry I didn't post last weekend. We had to head back from England, and I wanted to focus on spending the last couple days with my family!
Anyway, as we have now entered 2017, I have made a few fashion New Year's revolutions that you might want to try out for yourself.
Wear Something that Excites Me Everyday
What is fashion for, if it isn't to make you happy? This year, I'm going to try to wear something that makes me happy or inspires me everyday. Fashion can be an incredibly uplifting thing for me, so why not do my best to keep it fun!
Don't Worry About Others' Opinions
Something that has influenced me somewhat this past year has been the opinions of others. Worrying about what others think has influenced what I'm brave enough to wear sometimes, and I refuse to let that continue. Fashion should be for yourself. It should be about what I find exciting, and I shouldn't have to worry about what anyone else is thinking. This is an important resolution for everyone to try out!
Don't Let Perceived Fashion 'Rules' Constrict My Style
Don't wear white after labor day, don't mix your patterns, blah blah blah. I plan on throwing these rules by the wayside because fashion and style shouldn't be constricted! Creativity should flow when it comes to expressing yourself through clothing. I plan to challenge myself to create successful outfits going against these fashion guidelines.
Try to Shop Smarter
Cut down impulse buying! This year I plan on keeping up with a list of items I'd like to buy rather than just buying random things when I see them. Having a list will be that constant reminder to save my money for those specific items, rather than spending it on pieces I didn't really need or want. This will be a very hard one for me as this is a guilty habit of mine, but it's a good challenge.
Starting off the new year with a massive thank you to everyone who reads, comments, and supports my blogging adventure in any way. I'm hoping this year will hold an abundance of new opportunities, fashion experiments, and learning experiences to improve this wonderful outlet of mine. (Also if you haven't noticed, I'm rocking a new do! Platinum hair! New year, new hair!) Be sure to stay tuned, and I wish you a lovely and stylish 2017!
