April Favorites
This week, I thought I would write about something a little different from usual. This post will be filled with a collection of random, wonderful things I've really been enjoying throughout the month of April. I hope you guys can find something you might enjoy as well!
First up is a song that I've been playing all the time lately. "Hold my hand" by Jess Glynne is just such a fun song. It just makes me want to dance every-time I listen to it. You should go check it out.
Next is this gorgeous, turquoise bowl from Walmart, of all places! It is part of the Pioneer Woman collection. She has all these beautiful, vintage inspired pieces and I just couldn't pass this one up!
The adorable little calendar is up next. I got this at TJ Maxx, to go above my desk, and I've really fallen for it. It's just a cute little reminder of where we are in the year.
Next is the Lost Ocean coloring book by Johanna Basford. I feel like I'm in a totally different and serene world when I'm coloring in this book. Every page features a magnificent work or art that you get to customize with color. (She also has the Secret Garden, and Jungle versions.) This book has become my go-to when I'm feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Coloring isn't just for kids anymore, people.
Movie wise, there hasn't been too many that I've been overly excited for this month, but of course the newest Star Wars was pretty great. Now Star Wars fanatics might kill me for saying this, but I think this one is my favorite. I love the new characters, especially BB-8, and there are just some gorgeous scenes.
(P.S. remember to listen for Daniel Craig (current James Bond) in the scene where Rey is testing her powers on that storm trooper ;)
I don't know about any of you, but I only wash my hair about every three-four days because my hair is a bit on the dryer side. I've also read about how much healthier it is for your hair if you don't wash and blow dry it everyday. Because of this, dry shampoo has become my very best friend, but I went through quite a few different brands before I found the one. The problem I had with a lot of other dry shampoo was that they smelled chemically or like hairspray or they made my hair feel worse than without. Dove's dry shampoo is my savior though. Not only does it work really well without weighing your hair down, but it also smells amazing! (I've literally never smelled a hair product and liked it as much as this.) Do yourself a favor and go pick some up!
Next, is my favorite Youtuber/Blogger's, Zoē Sugg (AKA Zoella), perfume. I got this as a gift from my wonderful cousin and aunt, and I can honestly say, I wear it everyday. It is such a fresh and light scent. It is somewhat floral, but in a smooth and subtle way. I absolutely love it.
As I talked about in a previous post, Rimmel Tower of Mauve is really my go-to lipstick, but I feel like I've been using it even more this past month. The color is just perfect with my skintone and it feels nice on the lips.
Finally, this month, I have been using BB Pure by Maybellene almost everyday. My favorite thing about it is that I feel like I don't have anything on when I'm wearing it. I'm the type of person that feels suffocated if I can feel a heavy foundation on my face, so I love this product. I feel like it is somewhat buildable too, which is a plus. Even if you normally wear a heavy foundation, I feel like this would be a great one to switch to just for summer.
Thank you such much for reading! Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there, especially my lovely mother. Leave me a comment if you have tried any of these and liked them too, or if you have any other thing I should try out! I love you all.
