My Week With Covid

Happy Sunday lovelies,

Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. Leave a comment below with what you’ve been getting up to. I had some unfortunate and unlucky news this week. Since Monday, I’ve been in isolation with Covid. Luckily for me, it was very mild and I just thought I had a cold. (Leave all your Covid questions below.) So for today’s blog post, I thought I’d discuss some of the reflections I had while spending the last five days alone with my own thoughts.

Wear Your Best Everyday

Of course, one of my reflections has to do with fashion. I think being stuck in my room for five days with nowhere to go and nothing to get dressed up for, really made me think that you should wear your best anytime you can. Why save things for special occasions, when you can weave your special items into your daily wardrobe and you’ll get your wear out of them much quicker!

Don’t Take Your Health for Granted

Although I wasn’t hit hard at all with Covid, the last five days have still made me grateful for my health and avoiding getting covid for the past two years. Don’t take your health for granted ever. Even just having cold symptoms was something I hadn’t had in months or maybe a year and I was reminded how lucky I am to be healthy the majority of the time.

Get Outside

Being cooped up inside for the last five days has really made me miss being out in the fresh air. My advice would be to get out whenever possible even if it’s just for a short walk to the local coffee shop.

Slow Down

While this may seem contradictory to my previous point, I do thinking reminding yourself to rest is important. Living in London you feel like you constantly need to be doing something and this year has been off to a busy start, I haven’t rested much. This week of enforced rest has helped me reset and feel a bit more refreshed.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post. Have you had Covid yet? How was your experience with it? Did you learn anything? I’m so glad I don’t have it anymore and feeling lucky to have gotten over it when so many have struggled much more. A special thank you goes to Amanda Tromp for taking these photos. She’s so talented so go and check out her work. Check back next week for a new blog post and in the mean time, follow me on Instagram. Have a fab week!
